Why Truth

Truth is essential to solving problems, because it links to the power of the universe.

1. Truth is the communicated representation of unified reality.

2. Truth is not knowledge; it is the open and accountable communication of objective reality. Accountability is the difference between destroyers railroading society and rationality controlling the results.

3. Truth cannot be decreed. It is developed from evidence and logic, until it becomes an unquestionable force. Frauds will never do this. Their decrees are supposed to be fact based on authority. An example is the fake consensus for global warming based on the authority of the IPCC.

4. Truth evolves through all interactions of realities. It can only be incomplete and imperfect. It always needs improving.

5. Truth is knowledge plus—plus communication. Ignorant persons cannot produce truth.

6. Conservatives say there is an absolute truth, such as God created everything six thousand years ago, and there is no evolution. Absolute is the wrong term for the question. The question is whether there is more than one truth. There is only one truth, such as one and one equals two, not three.

7. Atheistic materialists claim there is no truth—all alternatives are equal. If there is no truth, there is no reason to communicate, there is no mathematics and there is no science.

Truth is the communicated representation of unified reality. Unified reality is the combination of all realities which have consistent relationships between them. In material life, it is the material universe. In the spirit world, something similar exists, but less visibly so. It is all realities inside minds and created outside minds, when consistently related to each other.

Therefore, spiritual life is unified reality, while death is dissociated reality. Another way of saying it is that life is "ordered complexity," and death is "disordered complexity."

The test of truth is consistent relationships between realities. Logic is the strictest test of relationships. Reason is making relationships, usually by adding evidence to a subject.

Nobody can arbitrate truth or say exactly what it is. One major reason is because words are too limited and imperfect representations of anything to convey in any perfect way even a small part of unified reality.

Another major problem is that words never enter a persons mind meaning the exact same thing they meant when they left another person's mind.

Another problem is that a large context is needed to properly represent truth. Since truth is determined by relationships, all significant relationships determine its meaning, and they are numerous. They create the context of truth.

What this all means is that truth can only evolve, as understanding increases in minds. Consider the world being round. It's a truth that evolved as evidence increased.

Another important thing to know is that truth evolves forward automatically as realities interact. Evolution of truth cannot be prevented when realities interact. And the interaction of realities does not have to result from communication. Events are very powerful sources of truth.

This occurs because whenever realities interact, the consistent relationships are reinforced by evidence, and the inconsistent relationships are weakened by contradictions. The strengthening of the consistent relationships is the evolution of truth.

Therefore, what people are supposed to be doing is adding evidence to truth through a process of reason (primarily criticism), not arbitrating truth.

What is the difference between reason and arbitrating truth? One difference is the expectation. Arbitrators of truth tolerate no dissent. They assume they are at an endpoint. Reasonable persons are satisfied with a little forward progress as increased understanding knowing that there never is an endpoint in increasing truth or understanding.

There is a lot of difference in methodology. Arbitrators of truth do not show evidence or adequately explain their position. Reasonable persons explain evidence as much as possible.

A large part of evidence for truth is in relationships between realities. Showing the relationships is how truth is increased.

The Opposite Mentality

Corruption creates a hate for truth. Corrupters don't understand the forces in their own minds, so they contrive noble purposes for their corruptions. Supposedly, truth is something bad, because it imposes bad realities onto people. If something is wrong, it needs to be changed; and the assumed way to change it is to contrive superior realities by pretending reality is something other than it is. They tell themselves that they can pretend superior realities into existence. It never happens.

So why is not pretending superior to truth? Pretending separates people from reality. Nothing constructive can be done apart from objective reality. The unified reality which creates life is extremely complex. It doesn't take care of itself. Could an engineer pretend a flying saucer into existence by denying what an automobile is?

The Nazis created a model system for the characteristics of corruption. They pretended that they were creating an Arian race by getting rid of the misfits. There was no Arian race. It was an excuse for destroying their enemies. They pretended that they were so superior to everyone else that they should take over the world and tell everyone else how to live. Pretending did nothing to correct their destructivity.

To exploit a lie is to prevent other persons from deciding for themselves. No one’s wisdom is good enough to prevent other people from deciding for themselves.

Cause and Effect

Corrupt persons assume that to be cause is everything and to be effect is a corruption. The opposite is true. How can someone be cause without others being effect? Being cause imposes someone's corruptions and subjective concerns onto others.

The alternative is allowing objective reality (the universe) to define the answers to problems. Pulling down the universe and applying it to the solution of problems is the use of truth. Then a person is not cause, the universe is cause, and everyone is effect of the unified reality of the universe.
