California is suing the EPA for the right to cut “tailpipe emissions” of greenhouse gasses by 30%. Sixteen other states plan to follow the same route after California legalizes it.

Proponents at the EPA say, "California continues to have compelling and extraordinary conditions in general (geography, climatic, human and motor vehicle populations - many such conditions are vulnerable to climate change conditions) as confirmed by several recent EPA decisions ... ."

Greenhouse gasses are not localized. They rapidly disperse through the atmosphere, which means there is no difference between the California problem and the global problem.

Notice the difference between controlling gas mileage and tailpipe emissions. Gas mileage is about cars and motors. Tailpipe emissions are about alternative forms of energy, such as hydrogen or electricity.

This approach changes the location of the CO2 production while increasing the total amount of CO2 produced.

Electricity requires about twice as much energy and produces twice as much CO2 as direct combustion. All motors are inefficient, capturing about 40% of the energy, which includes the electrical generator and the car motor. Therefore, use of electricity results in loss of energy at two locations—the electric plant and the car motor.

With hydrogen fuel, no one knows how much energy will be lost or CO2 produced. Hydrogen fuel has to be generated, just as electricity does. The hydrogen either comes from water, which requires energy for splitting, or it is removed from other energy sources, such as coal.

It would appear that the persons promoting these schemes don’t understand that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it just changes form. Each time something is done with energy, much of it is lost to heat creating the primary cause of inefficiency.

Adding all of this up means that reducing tailpipe emissions increases the total amount of greenhouse gas produced while changing the location from the roads to some production facility. The political sloganeering about reduced tailpipe emissions attempts to conceal the increased emissions that occur someplace else.

The argument is that electricity from solar and wind energy do not produce greenhouse gasses. But as long as energy is being imported, every iota of increase in electricity means an increase in imported energy, at least since the coal plants are being discontinued and replaced with imported natural gas.

All of the global warming laws being ramrodded through governments are based on technology which does not yet exist or is not practical at this time. The net effect is that society is being forced to use expensive and impractical technology as a supposed solution to global warming. One of the motives is to make energy too expensive for the lower classes, while total emissions are increased rather than decreased. Europeans are literally destroying their economy with such laws.

The Motive

There are motives for such contradictions. Anyone who really cared about greenhouse gases would be more careful not to be doing the opposite of what they intended. Yet everywhere you look, the results are the opposite of the claims with the global warming issue.

One of the characteristics of a motive problem is the amount of force involved. Corruptions are rammed down everyone’s throats with no rationality allowed.

Motive problems are always of the same nature. Motives are an attempt to demolish truth and reason, which requires force and violence.

The origins of motives are stimulus-response reactions in subconscious minds. Repetition and time convert routine behavioral patterns into stimulus-response habits. Such reactive behavior is how a person learns to type, to drive a car or learn any skill. It is also how erroneous assumptions are converted into domination, bigotry and elitism.

Persons who do not have good abstract awareness assume they can solve their problems by prevailing against other persons. They never succeed; but the more they fail, the more they try, until the effort becomes a stimulus-response set of reactions which lose all relation to reality and become very destructive.

Then a second level of reactions develops due to the opposing forces. Since rationality defeats corrupters, and truth exposes their corruptness, they fight a war against truth and reason. Instead of criticism being a constructive thing, it shows corrupt persons who their enemies are. Then they have to defeat their enemies just to prevail, regardless of the purpose or objective realities.

This is how the creationism issue developed in fundamentalist religion in contempt for the obvious science, and it is exactly how the global warming issue developed socially. Corrupters went rushing to the wrong side of the issue when they saw their enemies promoting rationality on the subject. The issue then became a cause which they had to succeed at to prevail against their enemies. They don’t have a clue as to what carbon dioxide is, and they don’t care what it does or how much they squander on it. They are doing one thing only—attempting to prevail against enemies.
