What is auto efficiency when coal and nuclear plants are opposed? In fact, autos cannot get much increase in efficiency in the sense of physical laws. Very little wasted heat can be converted into mechanical motion. Using less fuel means getting less work done.

And this is the crux of everything about energy and carbon dioxide. Getting less work done is the key to the anthill model.

Requiring 35.1 miles per gallon vehicles is like putting a chemical trail in front of ants requiring them to go this way and that way. People are less free and more enslaved. They can't get their work done, so they live for other purposes. Instead of building and developing, which improves their lives, there is more rinky-dink game-playing for the masters.

Incompetent persons set their sites on the games which eight-year-olds play, because objective reality left them behind at about that age. They want everyone else to return to the games which they can win at.

It's all based on pretense. Pretend that carbon dioxide is a problem, and the fix is the promotion of someone's ulterior motives. So the frauds pretend that people are just wasteful and doing the wrong things, and making everything more expensive will force them to be less wasteful and do the right things.

Nothing works that way. Did Enron's version of cap-and-trade force Californians to use less electricity? California turned hell over to keep the electricity running. Now Congress wants to turn off the spigot for "dirty energy" to force people to use "clean energy." The green Martians will land first. Clean energy does not exist, when carbon dioxide is not clean enough. Frauds jump out of the airplane before they build the parachute.

When pickups get 35.1 mpg, will farmers stop raising livestock and the 90% of society that is not making the decision become vegetarians?

The Alice-and-Wonderland world that is being promoted is going to breakdown into violence. It isn't going to be a pretty thing. It won't be due to a shortage of energy or a 6°C temperature increase. It will be due to fraud and incompetence. It could not happen without fraud. Ignoring fraud is not academic irrelevance.

Greens are trying to stifle development to conserve resources. The way they are going about it is about like trying to stop a train by blowing up the tracks in front of it. They have no plan, no standards, no openness or accountability and they lie about the purpose pretending to be saving mankind from carbon dioxide. Such perverts could not be trusted with a bag of garbage, and they are being allowed to destroy life on the basis of fraud.
